CIES hosts FHWA research presentation

The Center for Infrastructure Engineering Studies (CIES) invites the campus community to a presentation by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Long-term Pavement Performance (LTPP) program research team at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 9, in Room 215 Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall.

The goal of this visit is to strengthen the LTPP program’s relationship with Missouri S&T. The team has prepared presentations that have been tailored to academia, with a focus on topics such as:

  • Introduction and history of the LTPP program
  • How to utilize LTPP InfoPave – the LTPP Database web interface
  • Use of LTPP data and tools for research projects, including examples
  • Current and future activities at the LTPP program, such as its expansion of MEPDG Inputs currently available on LTPP InfoPave, availability of new Texture Data and new LTPP Experiments, such as Pavement Preservation and Warm-Mix Asphalt.
