Why Henrietta Lacks’s cells stay alive

Madison Darnell, a senior in biological sciences, will present the science behind Henrietta Lacks’s immortal cell line at 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 6, in the Carver-Turner Room of the Havener Center. The event, which is free and open to the public, is the second part of the One Book Program’s series of events related to “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks,” by Rebecca Skloot. Encourage students to attend the event.
