Attend an evening with the Lacks family

Henrietta Lacks’s granddaughter Kim Lacks and great-granddaughter Veronica Spencer will share their experiences related to their famous relative’s immortal cell line and their journey toward understanding Henrietta Lacks’s important role in science and research at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall. Tickets, which are free and available to the public, are required for this One Book Program presentation. They are available at the Leach Theatre Box Office, located in the vestibule of the main entrance of Castleman Hall, facing 10th Street.
A book signing will follow the presentation in the lobby of Leach Theatre. The S&T Store will have copies of the book for sale at the event for $13.99. Cash, checks and student charge will be accepted as payment. Credit cards will not be acceptable payment at the event.
