Career opportunities and employer relations (COER) will host a number of events this month. There will be events to help individuals prepare for the Career Fair and other employment-related events. The following is a list of events for February:
- Successful Interviewing – 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, in Room 305 Norwood Hall. Learn the do’s and don’ts of interviewing and how to leave a lasting impression on employers.
- Job Offers: Negotiation and Navigation – 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, in Room 305 Norwood Hall. Learn what to take into consideration when evaluating a job offer and how to negotiate a higher salary or other benefits. Students should bring their Missouri S&T ID to sign in.
- Marketing Your Student Leadership Skills – 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, in Room 305 Norwood Hall. Learn to distinguish yourself from other job candidates by marketing your student leadership experience on your resume and during the interview process.
- Etiquette Dinner – Wednesday, March 4, in St. Pat’s Ballroom of the Havener Center. The dinner, open to all students, includes a five-course meal during which all of the fundamentals of proper dining etiquette will be explained. There is a $15 reservation fee that is applied to your student account to cover partial cost of the meal. Register for the event online by Tuesday, Feb. 24.
