Passing of Bassem Armaly

Dr. Bassem Armaly, Curators’ Professor emeritus of mechanical and aerospace engineering and former chair of the mechanical and aerospace engineering department, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, at age 77. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of James and Gahr Mortuary.
A celebration of Armaly’s life is planned for 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, at the Kensington Park Clubhouse, 1930 Kensington Parkway in Rolla. A funeral mass is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Rolla. More information is available on the James and Gahr website.
