Study abroad faculty safety workshop

Study abroad invites the campus community to attend a workshop on safety and security for faculty-led programs noon-3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, in St. Pat’s Ballroom B of the Havener Center. Faculty are strongly encouraged to attend this workshop if you currently take or plan to take students abroad, since it will cover best practices for safety and security when taking students abroad. It will also use case studies and will be attended by representatives of the University of Missouri (UM) System risk management team and the UM System general counsel. Faculty will have the opportunity to interact with these representatives and ask questions about safety and security abroad. Engineers Without Borders student leaders are also strongly encouraged to attend this workshop. Lunch will be provided. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to menands@mst.edu by Oct. 30.
