The fall 2014 Curators’ Teaching Summit, titled “Great Expectations: Bridging the Gap Between Instructor and Student Expectations,” will be noon-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, in St. Pat’s Ballroom A of the Havener Center. All instructors are invited to attend.
The three-part summit involves all campus Curators’ Teaching Professors and is sponsored by the Center for Educational Research and Teaching Innovation. Lunch is provided, and reservations are required to Diane Hagni by Wednesday, Sept. 10. Please specify any dietary restrictions in your email. The remaining two sessions of the summit will be held Oct. 13 and Nov. 10.
Topics covered will include effective ways to communicate expectations to students, how to discover student expectations and varying cultural expectations, among other topics.
