The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is discouraging the use any version of the Internet Explorer web browser until a serious security flaw is resolved.

Missouri S&T’s information technology asks all faculty, staff and students to discontinue use of the Internet Explorer browser immediately. Alternative web browsers, such as Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, should be used until an official update is available.

Noted exception: sites within the University of Missouri System domain are considered trusted sites and can be carefully utilized in Internet Explorer. These include PeopleSoft Financials, any site ending in .umsystem.edu, .missouri.edu or .mst.edu.
