The Missouri S&T Academy of Civil Engineers and the department of civil, architectural and environmental engineering invite Philanthropy Week attendees and the campus community to attend the Stueck Lecturer Luncheon at noon Friday, April 25, in St. Pat’s Ballroom A of the Havener Center.
The luncheon will feature a talk given by Dr. Kenneth Hover, professor of civil and environmental engineering at Cornell University. His talk is titled “Lessons Learned While Enjoying a Career in Design, Construction, Research and Education.”

Hover will present the 2014 Stueck Lecture at 3 p.m. that day in Room 125, Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall. The Stueck Lecture is titled “The exciting first day in the life of concrete: Chemical and physical processes at the micro-level drive macro-level construction operations.” This lecture is free and open to the public.
