Death of Dr. D. Vincent Roach

Dr. D. Vincent Roach, associate professor emeritus of chemistry at Missouri S&T, died on Sunday, March 23. Visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. Friday, April 4, at the Wellington Place Clubhouse, 1903 East 10th St., Rolla, following a private graveside memorial. Memorials are suggested to the Backpack Program c/o Hope Alliance of Missouri.
A former chair of the chemistry department, Dr. Roach joined the S&T faculty in 1965. Prior to that he worked as a research chemist at the U.S. Naval Weapons Laboratory in Dahlgren, Va. He earned bachelor of science and Ph.D. degrees in chemistry from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1954 and 1962, respectively.
