Decades after the Jim Crow Laws were overturned, a newly recognized form of racial segregation, racial profiling and the establishment of a racial caste system is becoming ever more present: mass incarceration. Join the discussion regarding our country’s racial hierarchy, civil rights and the forward movement of racial equality during a seminar at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, in the Carver-Turner Room of the Havener Center. The event is sponsored by the Black Man’s Think Tank and the Miner Mentors.
