Making homework more effective

Learn how to “Make Homework More Effective” at a faculty learning event noon-1:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, in the Meramec-Gasconade Room of the Havener Center. S&T faculty will share ideas for homework projects that are effective in developing collaborative learning and higher order thinking skills and can be used in a variety of disciplines. Presenters are Dr. Bonnie Bachman, professor of economics at S&T, Dr. Dan Reardon, assistant professor of English and technical communication at S&T, and Dr. Donald Wunsch II, Mary K. Finley Missouri Distinguished Professor of Computer Engineering at S&T. RSVP to hagnid@mst.edu by Tuesday, Feb. 25. Dessert and drinks will be provided. This is the second part of a series begun in fall 2013, sponsored by the Center for Educational Research and Teaching Innovation (CERTI).
