Passing of Chuck Remington

Charles R. “Chuck” Remington, professor emeritus of mechanical engineering at Missouri S&T, died on Thursday, Nov. 28. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at the Rolla Cemetery at Highway 72 and Rolla Street. Memorial gifts can be made to the Charles R. Remington Endowed Scholarship Fund.
Remington earned bachelor of science and master of science degrees in mechanical engineering from S&T in 1949 and 1950, respectively. He was an active member of the Society of Automotive Engineers, Missouri Academy of Science, American Society of Engineering Education, American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the National Society of Professional Engineers.
He was a member of the Order of the Golden Shillelagh and, after retiring from teaching, assisted in the S&T Alumni Office.
