Yalda Night celebrated this Sunday

The Iranian Student Association is celebrating the Iranian traditional Winter Solstice (Shabe Yalda) from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, in the St. Pat’s Ballroom of the Havener Center. The event will include Persian food, dance, spoken word and a film tribute to Forugh Farrokhzad that was written and directed by visiting artist Maryam Habibian. Tickets are $10 each and are available from noon to 3 p.m. today, Thursday, Nov. 14, and Friday, Nov. 15, in the Havener Center atrium.
