The office of undergraduate studies will recognize faculty who involve or influence students in academic service learning or community service activities outside the classroom. All students, faculty, staff and community partners can submit nominations for this faculty award.

Nominations must include a supporting statement (maximum of one page) that describes how the nominee involves or influences students in community service or academic service learning through his or her work with student groups, learning communities or classroom instruction. Nominations may include up to three letters of support from department chairs, colleagues, community partners and students.

Nominations are due by Dec. 27. The recipient of the 2013-14 Faculty Service Learning Award will be recognized at an awards ceremony on Feb. 18, 2014.
