Lumension Endpoint Management and Security Suite is now available for student, faculty and staff personal Windows systems. Lumension and Missouri S&T IT information security are now offering a free endpoint security management agent for personal Windows systems.

What does this service provide?

Anti-virus. New definitions are updated automatically daily.

Patch management, both for operating system and some critical software updates like Adobe, Microsoft Office, etc.

How do I get it?

Go to https://lumension.mst.edu/Downloads.

Authenticate with your campus user id and password.

Download the 32 bit or 64 bit version, as well as the install.bat.

Run the install.bat and follow all prompted directions. Be patient, it can take 15-20 minutes to install if you are off campus.

Note: VPN connections are not required for this new service.

Is my privacy protected?

Yes. This service is being run by S&T IT information security and is only interested in your systems well-being. IT only sees which critical patches your system needs and what viruses are found.
