The campus community is invited to attend a research seminar titled “Handling Formatively-Measured Constructs in the Organizational Sciences,” by Dr. Detmar Straub, a University System of Georgia Regents’ Professor and the J. Mack Robinson Distinguished Professor of Information Systems at Georgia State University, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, in Room 256 Toomey Hall. Straub has conducted research in the areas of computer security, net-enhanced organizations (e-Commerce), technological innovation, international IT studies and research methods. He holds a doctor of business administration (DBA) from Indiana and a Ph.D. in English from Pennsylvania State University. He has more than 188 publications appearing in journals such as MIS Quarterly, Management Science, Information Systems Research, Organization Science, Academy of Management Executive, Sloan Management Review and IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management.
