Mass notification system text notice

On Wednesday, Sept. 4, Missouri S&T’s mass notification system is switching SMS messaging protocol. Because of this, students, faculty and staff enrolled in the system will receive a text message from Blackboard Connect stating the following:
[AbbrevAccountname]: You are now confirmed to receive alerts from us. More info text reply “HELP” or “STOP [keycode]” to opt-out.
No action is required by recipients. Opting out of the service will remove you from receiving updates for emergencies on campus.
A test of the new alert system will be conducted at noon, Wednesday, Sept. 18. More details about the test will be shared closer to the test date.
