Chancellor petitions Congress

Chancellor Cheryl B. Schrader was one of the 165 college and university leaders who recently signed an open letter urging President Barack Obama and members of Congress to close the “innovation deficit” by investing in research and higher education. The open letter was published Wednesday, July 31, in the Washington, D.C., newspaper Politico. UM System President Tim Wolfe and the chancellors of the other University of Missouri campuses also signed the letter. Read the full text online.
