Volunteer at freshman ice cream social

On Saturday, Aug. 10, the Residence Hall Association will sponsor the annual freshman ice cream social on the Havener lawn. This is an event that traditionally draws a large crowd. They are expecting to serve ice cream to more than 900 freshmen. The association is looking for faculty and staff to come out and serve ice cream. This is an opportunity for you to meet and welcome the class of 2017. There will be two 45-minute shifts for servers. Shifts will be 6:30-7:45 p.m. or 7:45-9 p.m. Interested volunteers should contact the Residence Hall Association co-advisor, Ashley Walters. The email should include your name, department and the volunteer shift you would prefer to work.
