The Video Communications Center open house on accessibility will kick-off next week with a combination of faculty presentations and hands-on sessions. There will be two sessions, 1-3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, and 9-11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, both in Room 213 Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall. Faculty members will provide first-hand knowledge of their experience in teaching distance courses through the VCC facilities.

On both days the VCC’s senior video production specialist of technology enhancement, Nathan Weaver, will explain Kaltura video streaming and how it can revolutionize course delivery for the distance student. Invitations for the hands-on sessions have been sent to professors using a VCC classroom this fall semester. Those who were contacted are strongly encouraged to stop by during their suggested time.

Anyone interested in seeing the VCC facilities are welcome to attend either open house time. Contact the VCC for more information.
