Windows XP nearing end-of-life; it’s time to explore options with IT

There are at least 580 Windows XP computers on the campus network. Many of these are in graduate student offices, research labs and academic teaching labs. It is likely that you or someone in your department is using a computer running Windows XP.

Effective Jan. 1, 2014, all XP devices at Missouri S&T will be restricted from open network access at S&T in order to protect the campus network once Microsoft discontinues XP support. If you or someone in your department is using XP, please schedule a consultation with information technology (IT) by calling the Help Desk at 341-4357. For more information visit http://it.mst.edu/about/projects/xp-phaseout/xp-exec-letter-april13/.
