Jazz Band concert coming up

The S&T Jazz Band will perform its spring concert at 7 p.m. Friday, April 26, in Leach Theater of Castleman Hall.
The concert will feature music made popular by Dizzy Gillespie, Frank Sinatra, Gordon Goodwin and Maynard Ferguson. The concert will feature vocal performances by S&T student Ian Ramsey as well as a “Blues Brothers Tribute” featuring graduating seniors Kamireon Douglas and Colin Ryan. There will be a “pre-concert” from 6:30-7 p.m. featuring the S&T Jazz Combo, under the direction of junior Emma Bradford.
The Jazz Band is directed by Dave Cress, lecturer in the arts, languages, and philosophy department at S&T. Tickets are $5 for the public and free for S&T students with a valid student ID and youth age 18 and younger.
