Funeral arrangements for Phyllis McCoy

Phyllis Ann McCoy, former director of human resource services at Missouri S&T, died Saturday, April 27. Visitation will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 5, and a Hawaiian-themed memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 5, both at Hutson Funeral Home, 601 W. Main St., in Steelville, Mo.
McCoy began her nearly 35-year career at Missouri S&T in personnel services in 1973. The department was renamed human resource services in 1988 and she served as director of the department from September 2000 until her retirement in 2008. Her survivors include her daughter, Debbie Hickey, budget and compliance officer for the S&T athletics department, and son-in-law, Dan, a university police officer.
