Dr. Susan Curtis of Purdue University, this semester’s Maxwell C. Weiner Professor in history at S&T, will present two public lectures on differing historical topics:
“Scott Joplin’s Interview a Century Later: Composing an African American Cultural Legacy,” from 3-4 p.m. Monday, April 15, in the Missouri Room, 207 A, in the Havener Center. Refreshments will be provided.
“Remembering the 1890s: Hard Times and the Tough Road to Recovery,” from 3-4 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, in the St. Pat’s Ballroom, 206 B, in the Havener Center. Refreshments will be provided.
