Creative writers to read from works

The campus community is invited to a Spring Writing Festival presented by the English and technical communication department the week before spring break. Three creative writers will read at 4 p.m. in Room 201 Engineering Management Building on the following dates:

  • “Places That Are Gone,” a poetry reading by Steve Distulentz of Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss., on Monday, March 18
  • “Rattlesnakes at Harvest: Writing, Ethics and the Enchanted World,” a reading by Amy Weldon of Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, on Wednesday, March 20
  • “Whistle What Can’t Be Said,” a poetry reading and short presentation by Charlotte Matthews of Hollins University in Roanoke, Va., on Friday, March 22
