Young athletes’ environmental stresses topic of today’s lecture

Dr. Paul Stricker, visiting professor of biological sciences from the Scripps Clinic in San Diego, will discuss “Environmental Stresses in Young Athletes” at noon today, Monday, Feb. 11, in Room 126 Schrenk Hall. Stricker is board certified in both pediatrics and sports medicine and was an All-American swimmer at Missouri S&T, where he earned a life sciences degree in 1982. He is a team physician for UCLA and Vanderbilt University and has been involved with the U.S. Olympic Committee for many years as a physician for World Championships, World University Games, Pan Pacific Championships and Olympic trials.
