Joe Miner carries one and it helped send people to the moon, build Hoover Dam and complete most major engineering projects. Professor Jerry Bayless will teach you how to use the slide rule from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, in Room 314 Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall. If you have a slide rule, bring it, or you can use one that belongs to Missouri S&T Archives. There will be time for some “hands on” experience with the tool.
