Klaus Woelk, associate professor of chemistry, was one of four faculty members selected by the Missouri Learning Commons project to serve as an MLC Scholar for the 2013 calendar year. Also selected were:

  • Debbie Lee-DiStefano of Southeast Missouri State University
  • Shahla Peterman of University of Missouri-St. Louis
  • Shanna Slavings of Missouri Southern State University

Experienced in course redesign, these educators will support course redesign on their own and other campuses. MLC Scholars provide one-on-one support and hold workshops to help faculty members redesign courses. MLC Scholars are also available for consultation by phone. Additional MLC Scholars will be selected in the coming semester.
Those interested in scheduling a workshop or one-on-one assistance in redesigning a course are encouraged to contact one of the scholars. An honorarium and travel expenses for MLC Scholars to present at any of Missouri’s public 4-year institutions is covered by the MLC project — there is no cost to institutions.
