The Miner League Theatre Players are seeking between 20 and 30 faculty and staff to sing the first song (Alma Mater) of their upcoming production, Grease. The show runs April 10-13 in Leach Theatre. A free ticket for a family member (a $12 value) will be given to each participating reunion actor. If you are interested, email Jeanne Stanley. She will contact you in February.
“What could be more fun than to have our faculty and staff posing as reunion folk for the very first part of the show?” asks Jeanne Stanley, director of the production and assistant professor of theatre. “I would send them the music to learn, put them on stage four days prior to opening, they sing, then they either go and sit in reserved front row seats for the show or go out the side doors. It’s a fun way to show support for the expected 40 or so students and community members who will be involved in the show and requires little effort.”
