State geologist to discuss hydrofracking, shale gas on Friday

Joe Gillman, Missouri’s state geologist and director of the division of geology and land survey at the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, will discuss hydrofracking and shale gas on Friday, Nov. 9. The talk, titled “Hydraulic Fracturing, Shale Gas and the Emerging Energy Conversation,” will be held at 3:30 p.m. in Room 121 Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall. The event is sponsored by Missouri S&T’s Environmental Research Center.
