Support S&T’s team for the Environmental Protection Agency’s Campus RainWorks Challenge when it presents designs to the campus at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, in Room 121 Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall. The students’ presentation is titled “What’s up and what’s going down with Storm Water in Rolla.”
The EPA’s Campus RainWorks Challenge involves creating multiple designs to improve storm water management on campus through the use of green infrastructure. The best management practices selected for designs were rain gardens, green roof, wetlands, permeable pavement and rainwater storage. All of the designs have reached 100 percent completion and were created for precise locations on campus.
