EMSE receives awards

Representatives of the engineering management and systems engineering department recently attended the American Society for Engineering Management 2012 International Annual Conference in Virginia Beach, Va., and received the following five awards:
- The engineering management department received the Founder’s Award for Graduate Program Leadership
- Missouri S&T received the Founder’s Award for Best Student Chapter
- Dr. Susan Murray received the Frank B. Woodbury Special Service Award
- Dr. Brian Smith received the Best Dissertation Award for “An Empirical Investigation of Supply Chain Excellence in Healthcare”
- William L. Gillis received second place in the Merl Baker Award for Best Student Paper, titled “Adapting the House of Quality for the LEED commissioning process in new building construction.”
