Dr. John Farley from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, will present a Physics Colloquium titled “Going beyond the lecture: What we have learned from physics education research?” at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, in Room 104 Physics Building. Farley is a physics professor and director of the Center for Math and Science Education at UNLV and also operates one of the longest running National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates programs in the country. Refreshments will be served prior to his appearance at 3:40 p.m.
