Majors and Miners event helps students choose majors

Representatives from Missouri S&T’s academic departments met with current students in the Havener Center on Wednesday, Oct. 10, as part of an open house event called Majors and Miners. The event was designed to help students learn all the options for major and minor areas of study and to explore career options in each department.
“I want to thank all the departments that participated,” says Laura Stoll, vice provost and dean of enrollment management. “The event gives our students a chance to look at all the majors and minors that our campus has to offer. We hope to host it annually.”
The event was sponsored by the alternative majors subcommittee of the Missouri S&T Retention Committee.
