Dr. Kate Drowne will present “Best Practices for Writing Your Master’s Thesis” from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, in Room 140 Toomey Hall. She will cover three basic elements of writing a successful thesis: preparation, actual writing tips and time management. Students in the relatively early stages of their master’s programs will benefit the most from this session, which emphasizes particular behaviors that can lead to more efficient writing with less stress and struggle. Drowne will also discuss frequent mistakes that graduate students make while writing their theses and how best to avoid these potential problems.
