Events planned for National Coming Out Day

Two events are planned for National Coming Out Day. The first, “Lunch and Learn: Coming Out! What’s the Big Deal?” will be held from noon-1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, in the Meramec Room of the Havener Center. Feel free to bring your lunch for an activity and discussion about what it means to come out and what to say to an individual when they do. Snacks will be provided by the DaVinci Society.
Allies and supporters of the Missouri S&T GLBTQ2A community are also invited to bring their lunch and celebrate National Coming Out Day from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, on patio of the Havener Center. Ribbons and information regarding upcoming programs will be distributed. Show members of the GLBTQ2A community that there are those who support them on the Missouri S&T campus.
