Parking Area C, located across 10th Street from the main entrance to Leach Theatre, will be closed until January 2013 due to the geothermal energy project. Leach Theatre has taken steps to ensure that its season subscribers and theater patrons have alternative parking available.
Season subscribers and sponsors were issued parking tags for Parking Area A, located at the intersection of 11th and Main streets. The tags will allow parking in this area after 5 p.m. and on weekends for Campus Performing Arts Series, Leach Special Events and Leach Family Series performances. Due to the sold-out performances of “Whose Live Anyway?” on Monday, Sept. 10, only those with the Leach Theatre parking tag will be allowed to park in this lot from 5-11 p.m. The lot will be closed to all others.
Patrons without season subscriber permits may park in Parking Area B, located on the corner of 11th and State streets, after 5 p.m. and on weekends during performances. This lot will also be reserved from 5-11 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, for Leach Theatre patrons and will be closed to all others.
Leach Theatre staff will be on hand at each parking area one hour prior to each CPAS, Leach Special Event and Family Series performance to assist and direct patrons. Transportation will be available to the theater from the parking lots.
The designated drop-off zone for patrons is on Main Street, along the east side of Castleman Hall. Four handicap parking spaces will be available on Main Street.
For S&T music concerts, plays, free films and family films, all of the aforementioned areas are available to event patrons.
