There will be a campuswide test of the emergency mass notification system at noon Wednesday, Sept. 12. If you have not yet signed up for the Missouri S&T emergency notification system, sign up here. During the test, students, faculty and staff who are signed up for the mass notification system will receive text, voice and email messages that say, “This is a test of the Missouri S&T emergency mass notification system. This is only a test. Please reply to confirm.” In addition, the campus community will hear the emergency alert whistle, which is located at the Missouri S&T Power Plant on State Street.

The mass notification system is designed to alert S&T students, faculty and staff of an emergency or critical incident and consists of email, text and voice notification to those who have signed up for the alerts. All students, faculty and staff should receive an email notification, regardless of whether they have signed up for the mass notification system.
Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to become familiar with Missouri S&T’s Emergency Action Plan and the Emergency Operations Plan.
