“Eat Well, Be Well with Diabetes” teaches the basics of managing blood sugar, how to understand food labels and make healthier dietary choices, meal planning using the “plate method” and carbohydrate counting, as well as many other aspects of diabetes self-care. Each session will include sampling easy, healthy recipes that you can make at home.
The program is open to anyone with Type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes, spouses and other friends and family members who want to know more about Type 2 diabetes. This four session program will meet from 5-7 p.m. Mondays, Aug. 6-27, in Room 206 Centennial Hall. The cost is $25. The registration deadline is Aug. 1 and space is limited.
