Faculty members — start the semester off right by having lunch with small student mentor groups (18-20 new students each) during 2012 Opening Week Orientation. More than 1,100 new students will come to campus this August and all will benefit from this opportunity to share tips for classroom success and discuss faculty expectations and classroom respect in a relaxed environment.

The lunch meetings will be held Tuesday, Aug. 14, through Thursday, Aug. 16, during the following time slots: 10:45-11:35 a.m., 11:40 a.m.-12:30 p.m., and 12:35-1:15 p.m. Participate in one or all of the days, and in one or all time slots. Just let new student programs staff members know which times work best for you.
Those interested in participating are asked to attend a faculty discussion/planning session scheduled from 1:30-2:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 13, in the Carver-Turner Room of the Havener Center. Contact Patty Frisbee with your availability at 341-7045 or pfrisbee@mst.edu. New student programs staff hopes all faculty will join them in this important effort.
