Be safe crossing streets, driving through crosswalks and intersections

University Police reminds students to exercise caution and common courtesy crossing streets and driving through busy intersections this spring. Always cross streets at a corner, using crosswalks and signals. Try to make eye contact with drivers before crossing in front of them. Don’t assume that because you can see the driver, the driver can see you.

Drivers are required to stop for pedestrians in crosswalks, but please be cautious of those crossing outside of the marked crossings, as well. The warm spring weather brings more walkers outdoors. Please be courteous and careful.
