Student life hosted the Advisor Awards Breakfast with Chancellor Schrader on April 23, which recognized the voluntary contributions of all S&T student organization advisors. The following faculty and staff were honored for their exemplary service in several categories:

• Outstanding New Advisor: Maciej Zawodniok, assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering and Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers S&T student branch advisor
• Outstanding Advisor of the Year: Rick Stephenson, professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering and S&T chapter of Engineers Without Borders advisor
• Outstanding Advisor of the Year: Paul Hirtz, associate director of the Student Design and Experiential Learning Center and Delta Sigma Phi fraternity advisor
• Distinguished Advisor of the Year: Jeff Smith, associate professor of materials science and engineering and Keramos advisor
• Student Affairs Award for Meritorious Service to Student Organizations: Birdie Morgan, program director for international affairs and International Student Club and Saudi Student Association advisor
