Missouri S&T will again host the nationwide Camp Invention program, an exciting summer day experience for children entering grades one through six, in two separate week-long sessions this summer. University employees are eligible for a discount off the regular 5 fee. Those who register by March 30, will only pay $165, a savings of $50.
The first session, the Envision Program, will be held July 9-13. The second session, the Encounter Program, will be held July 30-Aug. 3. Children will participate in four inventive modules each day, including the always popular “I Can Invent: Edison’s Workshop,” where they will design and create their own inventions.
The Missouri S&T Center for Pre-College Programs will oversee the camp with a staff of local teachers and counselors leading the modules. Classes are scheduled each day from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
To register a student under the employee discount, contact Melanie Wulff in the Pre-College Center at 341-4228 or wulffmd@mst.edu. For more information on the Camp Invention program, visit www.campinvention.org.
