Important spam, phishing info

Missouri S&T email accounts have been hit with excessive spamming and phishing scams recently. If you receive a phishing email, send it as an attachment to If you are an Outlook user and receive a spam email, send it as an attachment to Gmail and Outlook Live users, click here for spam reporting instructions. Sending the spam or phishing email as an attachment rather than submitting a Help Desk ticket will expedite resolving the issue. If you have questions about this issue, call the Help Desk at 341-HELP (4357).

Spam is any sort of unsolicited commercial email.
Phishing is an email trying to get restricted information such as asking for a password.
