Important spam, phishing info

Missouri S&T email accounts have been hit with excessive spamming and phishing scams recently. If you receive a phishing email, send it as an attachment to security@mst.edu. If you are an Outlook user and receive a spam email, send it as an attachment to spam@mst.edu. Gmail and Outlook Live users, click here for spam reporting instructions. Sending the spam or phishing email as an attachment rather than submitting a Help Desk ticket will expedite resolving the issue. If you have questions about this issue, call the Help Desk at 341-HELP (4357).


Spam is any sort of unsolicited commercial email.
Phishing is an email trying to get restricted information such as asking for a password.
