Healthy for Life invites you to discover what the eight-week Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction Program can do for you. Most participants report lasting effects that include a decrease in both physical and psychological symptoms, a better ability to cope with pain and stressful situations, increased relaxation and a greater enthusiasm for life. You will learn mindfulness meditation, yoga and body scan, as well as important information about stress, communication and wellness.
Orientation will be held at 4:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23. The class meets from 4:45-6:45 p.m. Mondays, Jan. 30, through March 19. There will be a full-day retreat from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, March 10. The cost is $40, with $20 refunded if you attend seven of the eight classes. Partners, spouses and adult family members can attend free of charge if they use the same materials.
