2011 Faculty Service Learning Award

The office of undergraduate studies will recognize faculty who involve or influence students in academic service learning or community service activities outside the classroom with the 2011 Faculty Service Learning Award. All students, faculty, community partners and staff are invited to submit nominations for this award.


Nominations must include a nomination form and a supporting statement (maximum of one page) that describes how the nominee involves or influences students in community service or academic service-learning through his or her work with student groups, learning communities and/or classroom instruction.
Nominations may include up to three letters of support from department chairs, colleagues, community partners and/or students.
Nominations are due Dec. 30. The recipient of the 2011 Faculty Service Learning Award will be recognized at an awards ceremony in February 2012.
