The next offering in the 2011 Free Fall Film Festival is The King’s Speech, scheduled to be shown at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, in Leach Theatre. The 2010 film won four Academy Awards, including best picture. The R-rated film is based on the true story of the queen of England’s father and his remarkable friendship with maverick Australian speech therapist Lionel Logue. Joy Piazza, assistant professor of speech at S&T, will introduce the film. The screening is free and open to the public.
