Writing competition announced

The English and technical communication department and Arts Rolla are sponsoring a writing competition with three categories: fiction, nonfiction and poetry. Prizes will be awarded. Entry forms may be downloaded at www.artsrolla.org or stop by the English and technical communication department in the top floor of the Humanities-Social Sciences Building for a copy. Submission deadline is Thursday, Oct. 20. The sharing of writings and awards presentation will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, in the Community Room of the Phelps County Courthouse.
