Winter to give O’Keefe Lecture

Benjamin P. Winter, a 1980 metallurgical engineering graduate of S&T, will give the third annual Dr. Thomas J. O’Keefe Lecture. The lecture, titled “The Sustainable Metallurgist,” will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, in Planje Auditorium, Room 204 McNutt Hall. Winter is the current vehicle line executive and previous chief engineer in the minivan segment for Chrysler Group LLC. A reception honoring Winter will be held prior to the lecture from 2:45-3:15 p.m. in the McNutt Hall Commons. For more information, contact materials science and engineering at 573-341-4711.
